Kinesiology (Kin-easy-ology) is a holistic practice (treating the whole individual, not just the illness) that uses muscle testing to find and correct imbalances in the body, ensuring overall wellbeing.

A light pressure is used to test specific muscles, evaluating the functioning of the muscle. The muscle is then used to assess the imbalance and root cause of the problem, for example the muscle being tested could show a structural imbalance. The imbalance is then corrected using a variety of methods, for example by acupressure massage. The corrections needed can be nutritional, structural and/or emotional.

Kinesiology was introduced by Dr George Goodheart, an American Chiropractor in 1964. Further research and improved techniques are constantly being introduced and practiced.

Why see a Kinesiologist?
Kinesiology gets the whole body back into balance, aiding the self-healing process. Examples of this are prevention of illness, increased levels of energy and vitality, physical pain relief, improved posture, identifying food and environmental intolerances and sensitivities, improved brain function and co-ordination, improved nutrition, identifying underlying causes of imbalances and diseases, and then making changes to correct them.
